The Assets APIs provide access to a website's assets, which are located within the Designer's Assets panel . Through these APIs, Apps can upload assets to Webflow and fetch details such as the asset's unique ID and its hosted URL. To add an asset onto the canvas, create a custom DOM element with an img tag. Then, include the asset URL in the element's src attribute.

Files upload to the Assets panel are not restricted — that is, they are publicly available and discoverable, but won’t necessarily be discovered or indexed by search engines if the file isn’t on a publicly viewable webpage or linked elsewhere. Learn more about asset privacy in Webflow.
